Job Title: GIS TechnicianJob Description We are seeking an entry to mid-level GIS Technician to support local utilities as a distribution designer. Experience with CAD software or Microstation is advantageous. Responsibilities + Support local utility projects as a distribution designer. + Utilize CAD software to create and modify designs. + Assist in drafting and designing using Microstation and Smallworld. + Interpret blueprints and basemaps for distribution projects. + Ensure designs adhere to easement and scale specifications. + Collaborate with team members on underground construction projects. Essential Skills + 3+ years of drafting experience using Microstation and Smallworld. + Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD. + Understanding of blueprint and basemap interpretation. + Familiarity with transformer and underground construction designs. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Previous experience in utility or underground construction projects is preferred. + Knowledge of drafting in a utility context is advantageous. Work Environment This position is based in an indoor office environment, working on-site with a small distribution services team. The dress code is business casual. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
