Job Description
This GIS Specialist position is responsible for supporting and maintaining spatial data systems for the Land Department. The role involves activities in GIS software and application development, data acquisition and maintenance, map production support, as well as quality assurance and control with metadata management.
ResponsibilitiesManipulate and visualize GIS data effectively.Combine datasets from multiple sources to create cartographic products.Create exhibit maps to accompany land acquisition documents.Produce project update maps and feasibility study maps.Manage enterprise data efficiently.Essential SkillsProficient in GIS, server management, and geoprocessing.At least 2 years of related GIS experience or a recent Geography-based college graduate with GIS coursework.Proficiency with ESRI ArcMap and Arc Pro software, including editing and geoprocessing capabilities.Experience in utility mapping, land acquisition, and feasibility study maps.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficient cartographic skills.Knowledge and experience working with enterprise GIS databases.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Exceptional organizational and project/workload management skills.Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.Self-starter with initiative and ability to work with minimal oversight.Customer service oriented with a strong work ethic and teamwork skills.Ability to work in a diverse environment and manage stress under time pressure.Work Environment
This is a regular full-time position, Monday through Friday.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
