A highly skilled and experienced GIS Engineer / Specialist in handling geospatial work. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and strategic thinking to drive innovation and efficiency in geospatial operations.
Develop and implement GIS strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Oversee the design and development of GIS databases and applications.
Coordinate and prioritize GIS requirements, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS solutions into various business processes.
Establish and maintain geospatial data standards, policies, and best practices.
Establish GIS standards and basic user guidance (symbology, layer naming, data handling protocols) for use across the program.
Conduct advanced spatial analysis and create high-quality cartographic products.
Evaluate and implement new GIS technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency.
QualificationsQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
GIS Professional (GISP) certification is required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with GIS in an urban development / master planning / infrastructure context. Minimum of 5 years of experience in GCC.
Strong experience with ArcGIS software and major geomatic, and GIS applications (e.g., Desktop, Online, geoprocessing tools, dashboards).
Knowledge of BIM environment and integration between GIS & BIM.
Strong experience on importing and updating data from multiple sources/formats (CAD, Revit, shapefiles, imagery, spreadsheets, web services).
Strong knowledge of spatial analysis, cartography, and geospatial data management.
Verifying and maintaining accuracy and completeness of attribute information.
Cadastral and parcel management, including land use, ownership, and boundary data. Series of thematic maps and figures (e.g. land use, density, underground infrastructure, constraints, opportunities) for planning and reporting.
