Provides support to the GIS Team with GIS projects, reports, research and data development. Assists with updating and maintaining GIS data, maps, mapping tools, templates and software. Creates high quality maps and cartographic products for presentations, reports and field offices.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Edit geospatial data layers and tables.
Assist in the development of high-quality cartographic products (produce maps and graphics from GIS based software).
Assist with analysis and research on new and existing O’Reilly markets (knowledge of census data, social economic data, and traffic counts within GIS software).
Learn about methods, data, and standards used by the GIS/Demographics Team and apply to new situations.
Utilized GIS software and predictive modeling technologies for potential O’Reilly store market areas.
Assist with GIS\\Demographics Special Projects.
Assist with data automation processes.
All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS / EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES:
Currently enrolled in GIS, Geography, or Planning related major.
Knowledge of ArcPro/ArcDesktop 10.X or higher software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Attention to detail.
General understanding of GIS data standards, editing and updating of databases.
Knowledge of ArcGIS Online, ArcPy or Python Programming.
