Responsibilities:
Geospatial Duties:
Ensure upkeep and updates to all GIS, project geodatabase and spatial data compilations, and ensure their timely delivery to all relevant team members and stakeholders.Steer improvements and provide technical support across all aspects of exploration data managementInterrogate datasets, critically evaluate and optimize data usability and workflows, identify issues and risks, recommend solutions and guide teams through implementationKeep up to date with relevant industry and technological developments, research and recommend improvements and new ways of working with a focus on delivering simple, fit for purpose solutionsDeliver maps and data visualizations as requiredCoordinate and ensure that geological data is entered accurately and timely and regularly validate the database in a frontend (DataShed4) or SQL environment.Regularly check for missing information and pass it to the concerned geologists and follow up regularly. Ensure all data captured is present and accounted for.Handle and ensure sample submission to both internal and external labs, in addition to daily checks of the quality of analysis of results received from the labs, and request for re-assays whenever required. Investigate issues, reports them to line supervisor and takes corrective actions if QC samples don’t pass Company standardsProvide general support across the core shed team and exploration teams in terms of QAQC control.Adhere to drilling and sampling operational procedures and ensure teams adherence.Degree in Geology, GIS, data management or mining related fieldPhysically fit and capable of working in hot and remote environments.Data Management duties:
