GIS Analyst

Job Description Summary

Support the EMEA business by delivering insights and services to clients and improving internal processes through GIS expertise. Perform spatial analysis and create reports, dashboards, and other analytics. Advise on geospatial solutions to business and client challenges. You'll be part of the EMEA Analytics team, working closely with data scientists, automation experts, and local BI teams to ensure alignment, collaboration, and impact across the business.

Providing GIS solutions to both internal and external clients

Providing GIS solutions to improve effeciencies within the business & automating tasks

Managing databases & applcations

Managing & administrating online portal access and content

Identify opportunities to further integrate the use of GIS within the business

Business partnering to understand the business and unlock the potential of GIS

Attending client presentations.

Regular tasks

Perform GIS analysis based on client and business requirements

Build out and maintain dashboards

Build out and maintain web maps

Build out and maintain bespoke applications

Build out and produce automated reports

Perform Geocoding

Spatial data procurement

Perform data processing on geo-spatial data

Manage access to content

Deliver training and technical support to staff self service GIS tools

Assist in the development of automating processes

Qualifications (education) required for filling the position:

College / University degree level qualification in GIS or any related field

Other professional qualifications required for filling the position:

2+ years experience in a GIS role

Foreign language skills required for filling the position:

Fluent English

Required skills for filling the position:

Strong knowledge and experience of GIS theory and application.

Experience in both ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro or similar platforms.

Experience in spatial analysis techniques and ability to interpret complex spatial data.

Experience delivering GIS projects and analysis to internal and external clients.

Advanced numeracy, analytical and computer skills for data manipulation and data management.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A problem solver with good degree qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent evidence of continued professional development (CPD)

Knowledge of developing and promoting GIS solutions through an agile approach.

Knowledge of databases and GIS integration (Azure, SQL, FGDB) is nice to have.

Experience of broader ESRI product suite including Business Analyst, Experience Builder and ArcGIS Dashboards.

GIS development and customisation (Python).

Experience of data capture using mobile devices (use of Collector, Survey 123 or alternatives).
