GI Cancer Research Program Manager

As the Research Project Manager for Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing a rapidly expanding area of gastroenterology cancer research. This position provides research, management of the Biorepository and coordination with a physician group engaged in multiple NIH-funded initiatives. In this role you will lead the implementation and management of key research programs, oversee and expand the GI cancer research portfolio and ensure alignment with institutional and national research priorities. Responsibilities include developing systems to support program operations, managing budgets, mentoring staff and serving as a liaison across departments and partner institutions. As a core contributor to the Resources and Services Module, you will foster collaboration and provide critical program support to advance research efforts across Cleveland Clinic and the region. This role advances clinical research in an underdeveloped area where Cleveland Clinic is leading the field, driving discoveries that will shape how we care for patients in the future. **A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.** **_This position is based in Crile, requiring travel between Crile and other Cleveland Clinic facilities as needed._** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Manage the implementation and maintenance of designated programs. + Plan, develop and maintain systems and procedures. + Serve as a liaison between the department and external communities. + Act as a coach and mentor for other positions within the department. + Participate in the budgetary process. + Develop, implement, manage and maintain operational systems and activities. + Serve as a liaison with all levels of the organization and external partners. + Manage multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines, allocating time to meet completion requirements. + Review and monitor adherence to Human Resources policies and corporate compliance procedures. + Provide research support, manage the Biorepository and coordinate with a physician group engaged in multiple NIH-funded initiatives. + Advance collaboration and provide critical program support to promote research efforts across Cleveland Clinic and the region. + Lead the implementation and management of key research programs, oversee and expand the GI cancer research portfolio and ensure alignment with institutional and national research priorities. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field and five years of related experience OR Master's Degree and four years of experience + Knowledge of statistical and financial analysis, primary research and business plan development + Research experience (repositories and lab and/or clinical) + Strong presentation, communication and training skills Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Master's degree + Experience in a healthcare setting + Oracle or research experience + AI background Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
