Primary Responsibilities:
• Repairing vents and water lines to ensure they are fully operationally.
• Intermediate knowledge of pumps and irrigations systems.
• Responsible for maintaining and repairing of all lighting component within the facility
• Operator of any heavy machinery used at the facility.
• Familiar with machinery operation, controls, maintenance, manuals and resources for parts.
• Ensure all preventative maintenance is routinely completed in accordance with our greenhouse PM
schedules and documented as directed by Maintenance Manager.
• Repairs and/or corrective action for safety issues as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Ability to perform most electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Adhering to the tool management and control protocols.
• Maintaining a lean and tidy work area, including equipment.
• Playing an active role in supporting the Company’s Health and Food Safety programs.
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Experience with mechanical & hydraulic presses, and electrical and pneumatic Willingness to promote and follow facility wide safety guidelines for items such as PPE Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work in a time sensitive fast-paced environment Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task while meeting and/or exceeding deadlines Strong communication skills and proven success in communicating effectively at all levels The ability to motivate, influence, problem solve and be a change agent.

Working Conditions

Greenhouse environment with variable and fluctuating temperatures based on season with high temperatures in the summer months. Must be able to work around bees. Fluctuating hours and schedules subject to greenhouse needs Background noise approaches 70 dcbs. Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending on a regular basis. Kneeling, squatting and crawling required and working at heights.
