Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, with experience in both field and office settings. This role requires flexibility to travel between the Harrisburg and Baltimore office locations and to various client work sites. The candidate will be involved in writing geotechnical reports, soil classification, and field investigations.

Responsibilities

Write comprehensive geotechnical reports.Classify and log soils in laboratory settings.Conduct field investigations and soil sampling at job sites.Collaborate with the Project Manager or Senior Geotechnical Advisor on project tasks.Utilize design software such as AutoCAD for geotechnical analysis and design.Travel to client work sites and between Harrisburg and Baltimore office locations as required.

Essential Skills

Experience in geotechnical engineering and material testing.Proficiency in report writing and soil classification.Ability to conduct geotechnical investigations and analyses.Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

EIT certification or actively pursuing it is preferred.Combination of field and office experience is ideal.Flexibility to travel and work odd hours as needed.

Work Environment

This position is based in the Baltimore office, with travel to the Harrisburg site as necessary. The role involves both fieldwork and office duties, requiring flexibility in work hours depending on project needs. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.64 - $31.25/hr.
