Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of field and office experience, with proficiency in writing geotechnical reports, classifying soils in a laboratory setting, and conducting field investigations. The role requires flexibility in traveling between our offices and client sites to perform various geotechnical tasks as directed by sr team members.
Responsibilities
Write comprehensive geotechnical reports.Classify and log soils in both field and laboratory environments.Conduct field investigations and soil sampling.Use design software, such as AutoCAD, for geotechnical analysis and design.Travel between the Harrisburg and Baltimore office locations as well as to client work sites.Collaborate with Project Manager or Sr Geotechnical Advisor to carry out tasks efficiently.Essential Skills
Proven experience in geotechnical engineering and material testing.Proficiency in report writing and soil sampling.Ability to use geotechnical design software such as AutoCAD.Experience in both fieldwork and office-based tasks.Additional Skills & Qualifications
EIT certification or actively pursuing it is preferred.Flexibility in work hours and travel is essential.Work Environment
The position is based out of the Baltimore office, with expected travel to the Harrisburg site. The role requires a combination of field and office work, and may involve working odd hours based on client needs. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.64 - $31.25/hr.
