This is an exciting role working within the General Merchandise team. You will be responsible for delivering both store & online ranges within the home textiles category. Maximising sales and profit is key, whilst ensuring availability and customer choice at the same time. This role requires building key supplier relationships, especially within the branded offer within George.com to planning & landing activity throughout the year. This role is a great development opportunity to work across various stakeholders.
The ins and outsWorking directly with Buyers to set the category strategies.Delivering the business plan - working on longer term strategy and shorter-term proactive sales driving activity.Driving the business to maximize profit in-season.Developing strong relationships with suppliers.Managing multiple stakeholders across the business to ensure we hold everyone accountable for the delivery of the crit pathOwnership of category P&L to include accurate forecasting of sales, stock turn, markdown and costs, with a view to achieving maximum profit.Analysis of sales data to provide recommendations for range control, budgeting & selection for future seasons.Collaboration with supply colleagues to ensure strong inventory management.Working closely with the buying team to further understand our customer needs and competitor activityThis is a fast-paced role, and the ability to switch between longer term strategy and immediate trading priorities is key.
