We are currently seeking a Sr Level Geologist in Denver Colorado to support a wide variety of environmental projects. The preferred candidate will have extensive field experience working at Superfund and other contaminated sites, running complex field programs, preparing planning documents and preparing reports for environmental characterization and remediation projects.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
• Performing surface and subsurface soil sampling, rock classification, monitoring well installation, oversight of drilling contractors, groundwater sampling, and hydraulic testing to support environmental projects.
• Performing geologic evaluations, and/or hydrogeological investigations; describing geologic conditions, and preparing logs, contour plots and cross-section diagrams
• Reviewing draft assessments and calculations with respect to federal, state and local regulations.
• Working on a variety of assignments, which may include work plans, field studies, research investigations, data interpretation and evaluation, and report preparation.
• Ensuring that firm policies and practices are followed on all assessments.
• Independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Using professional judgment and knowledge of principles/techniques in making minor adaptations and modifications.
• Learning task management techniques and the CDM Smith management system.
