The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.
OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Geologist – Hydrogeology who will carry-out routinary works and projects in support with operational requirements and ensure all water accounts follow national and international frameworks. The role also requires provision of support to Project Geologist - Hydrogeology in ensuring execution of planned hydrogeological projects are within the specified timeframe, budget, and in accordance with relevant legislations. The role will report to the Senior Geologist – Hydrogeology.

Licensed Geologist
Driver’s License
Bachelor's degree in Geology or other relevant discipline
1-2 years of related work experience in mining industry, with demonstrable academic or job experience in hydrogeologic data collection and analysis
Experience in best practices related to groundwater and surface water management
Proficient in 3D software packages (Leapfrog, Surpac, Deswik, GMS, Acquire, etc.)
in project management of hydrogeological programs including contractor management
in the hydrological weir, hydrogeological dataloggers, VWPs, grouting pumps, plugs and packers’ installation, and equipment
in high-pressure grouting for uncontrolled water management
