Generative AI Model and Distributed Training, APJ
Do you want to help define the future of Go to Market (GTM) of Machine Learning and Generative AI (GenAI) at AWS? The AWS APJ team is looking for an experienced technical leader to drive the GTM for the next evolution of Generative AI model building and training customers across APJ.

As the Technical Leader, you will be responsible for leading the GTM strategy for customers building the next generation LLMs. This role will work in conjunction with AWS Service Teams, Regional Solution Architecture teams, Worldwide Machine Learning Frameworks team, Regional Leadership and APJ Specialist teams. You will be working directly with customers (across segments) in the GenAI model training and inference space helping them build, train and scale their own Large Language Models (LLMs) on AWS. Activities will include, model performance evaluations, develop proof-of-concepts, developing GTM plans, and external/internal evangelism.

You will possess a technical and business background that enables you to drive an engagement and interact at the highest levels with start-ups, Enterprises, and AWS partners. You will have the technical depth and business experience to easily articulate the potential and challenges of GenAI models and applications to engineering teams and C-Level executives. This requires deep familiarity across the stack – compute infrastructure (Amazon EC2, Amazon EKA), ML frameworks PyTorch, JAX, orchestration layers Kubernetes and Slurm, parallel computing (NCCL, MPI), MLOPs, through to Amazon SageMaker Hyperpod, Amazon Bedrock as well as target use cases in the cloud.

This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of technological transformations, as a key technical leader. Additionally, you will work with the AWS Generative AI and EC2 product teams to shape product vision and prioritize features for ML Frameworks and applications. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and being scrappy is a must.


Key job responsibilities
• Work directly with customers to accelerate their business outcomes and recommend best-practice cloud architectures in line with their long-term business needs.
• Drive technical solutions discussions with your customers, diving deep into the details to solve complex technical problems and use your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.
• Scope and own customer engagements, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria.
• Act as a thought leader in the wider community, playing a key role in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops.
• Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the AWS platform. Proactively work within the organization to influence the evolution of the platform.
• Serve as a key technical member of the Solutions Architecture team through influencing decision makers across multiple domains to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform which align to long-term business goals.
• Develop and own the GTM plan that will identify target customer segments, partnership opportunities, roadblocks and risks with initial launch, success criteria for launch and the investment strategy.
