Position Description:

CGI is a trusted Data, Cloud and AI advisor and go-to implementation partner for our global clients' Data and Advanced Analytics needs. Our capabilities in Generative AI are constantly evolving with current focus being GenAI and mitigating risks associated with GenAI.

Candidate must be eligible for reliability clearance (eligibility is 5+ years residing in Canada)

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Data Scientist - Generative AI on this team your responsibilities will include:
• Evaluating and building quality of output of GenAI solutions, frameworks, fine-tuning, and productionizing AI solutions
• Building Large Language Models-based and NLP-based solutions for CGI clients by researching the best-in-class techniques
• Data Engineer and Prompt Engineer the LLM solutions end-to-end to enhance end user experience
• Being "hands-on" to build, tune, deploy and monitor (MLOps) robust Machine Learning solutions
• Mitigate risks and optimize costs associated with choosing a GenAI architecture solution and advising on best practices in GenAI
• Strategically and intensely collaborating with innovation team and account teams to explore key GenAI solutions
• Collaborate with other Data Scientists and Data Engineers
• Implementing proof of concepts to show value and then package and scale to full ML solutions at scale on both on-prem and cloud environments

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field and/or equivalent experience
• Must have 5+ years of "hands-on" working experience delivering diverse Advanced Analytics solutions
• Extensive hands-on development experience in Generative AI projects and implementing and productionizing Generative AI solutions.
• Experience with Data Protection strategy
• Identifying critical data assets and building a roadmap to enhance data security
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to plan the strategy integration into existing infrastructure.
• Experience with data strategy to enhance enterprise data architecture, management, and governance.
• Experience on data sharing, integration, analytics, and AI.
• Experience with AI implementation frameworks.
• Integration of cloud technology and machine learning to generate ML models
• Experience building LLM-based solutions on Azure, AWS or GCP
• Experience fine-tuning LLMs with latest techniques
• Hands-on expertise in building and deploying code in Python, SQL and major programming languages with at least one major Cloud platform Azure, AWS

Additional experience is an asset:
• Experience with MSFT 365 Copilot, Copilot plugins and connectors, Copilot Studio
• Experience with agentic frameworks like Crew AI, Autogen etc.
