About this role:

The Wells Fargo Chief Operations Office (COO) is seeking a Senior Lead Control Management Officer to serve as a Technology Security Architect, leading initiatives in generative AI within the Consumer Technology, Digital Technology, and Control Management organization. This role will serve as a cross functional leader, partnering with architecture and engineering teams from across multiple organizations to design, develop, and establish controls for artificial intelligence systems. This role will also work within the architecture and engineering teams to modernize and automate controls for existing platforms within the firm.


In this role, you will:

Act as an advisor to more experienced leaders in developing risk mitigation strategies for complex and highly integrated business specific risk across different business lines

Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report impact of decisions and business controls to the relevant business group and enterprise function

Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex current and emerging risks requiring in depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, as well as good understanding of financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, and business process management

Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leaders on implementing innovative and significant business solutions for highly complex risks associated with business operations

Lead and mentor Control Management project or virtual teams

Engage with all levels of roles across the business group, and serve as an experienced advisor in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and controls that mitigate risks and address regulatory requirements


Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrable experience with cybersecurity principles, threat modeling, and secure software development practices

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Java, with experience in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)

Experience with securing AI/ML pipelines, including data integrity, model confidentiality, and adversarial robustness

Experience with distributed architectures e.g. microservices, SaaS architecture, etc

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and their security implications in AI environments

Job Expectations:

Ability to work onsite per Wells Fargo's standard operating model in one of the listed locations

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$159,000.00 - $279,000.00
