**General Utility Worker** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated General Utility Worker to join our team at the West Facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This role involves rotating through various areas including sanitation/pack-off, packing, palletizing, and box making. The position requires a high level of responsibility and attention to detail to ensure the smooth operation of production processes. **Responsibilities** + Dispose of extra materials and break down incoming packages and labels in the Sanitation/Pack-Off area. + Separate trash into categories such as trash, cardboard, and plastic, and spray machines and containers with disinfectant. + Assist in machine start-ups and disassembly for sanitation, place bags of finished goods into boxes, and inspect finished goods for defects in the Packer area. + Complete necessary paperwork related to production activities. + Inspect cases for proper sealing and labeling, operate a pallet jack, and document findings in the Palletizer area. + Palletize finished boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. + Maintain boxes and labels for production lines, ensuring that labeling matches spec sheets and boxes are damage-free in the Box Maker area. + Document the movement of finished and raw materials and palletize finished boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift and carry **50 lbs continuously throughout a 10-hour shift.** + Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. + **At least 1 year of work history in a related field.** **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + **Experience in production, general production, packaging, and inspection is beneficial.** **Why Work Here?** Joining our team provides an opportunity for growth and development. Additionally, all employees receive a 2.5% annual salary increase every January. **Work Environment** The work environment includes a **1st shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday, with most Saturdays required. Overtime is paid for hours worked over 8 per day** . Once trained, the schedule may extend to 50+ hours per week, starting at 5:45 AM. This is a GMP food production environment where appropriate attire such as an overcoat, gloves, hardhat, ear plugs, safety glasses, and knee-high non-slip rubber boots is mandatory. The production floor is refrigerated, maintaining temperatures between 30-40 degre **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
