We're looking for a skilled and dependable General Technician to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our facility operations, ensuring that all equipment and systems run smoothly and safely. As a General Technician, you'll take ownership of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtimeTroubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, drawings, and analytical skills to identify root causes efficientlyExecute repairs and maintenance tasks while adhering to all safety protocols and quality standardsRespond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, prioritizing urgent issues while maintaining organized documentationInspect facilities and equipment regularly to identify potential issues before they escalate, demonstrating proactive problem-solvingCollaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and share knowledgeMaintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used, time spent, and issues resolvedAdapt to new technologies and equipment innovations, continuously expanding your technical skill setEnsure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulationsCommunicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues about project status, challenges, and solutions

QualificationsProven experience as a General Technician or in a similar maintenance role within a corporate or industrial environmentStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to analyze complex technical issuesAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment drawings accuratelySolid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems and their maintenance requirementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamworkPhysical fitness and capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditionsHigh school diploma or technical/vocational certification (preferred)Valid safety certifications such as OSHA or equivalent (preferred)Valid driver's license for site visits and facility inspections across DubaiStrong organizational and time management skills with attention to detailDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality standards, and continuous improvementFlexibility and resilience in adapting to changing priorities and work environmentsCustomer-focused mindset with a commitment to supporting facility users and stakeholdersWillingness to learn new technologies and stay current with industry best practices
