The General Steward provides operational and cleaning support across various kitchen-related areas, including chef offices, service zones, banquet setups, and stewarding, ensuring compliance with hygiene, order, and efficiency standards. Responsible use of supplies and tools is essential. This role also contributes to the hotel’s overall operation by collaborating with other departments when needed.

The General Steward provides operational and cleaning support across various kitchen-related areas, including chef offices, service zones, banquet setups, and stewarding, ensuring compliance with hygiene, order, and efficiency standards. Responsible use of supplies and tools is essential. This role also contributes to the hotel’s overall operation by collaborating with other departments when needed.

Provide operational support to other departments when required.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in all assigned areas, including chef offices, service areas, and stewarding.

Use products and supplies responsibly, avoiding misuse and waste.

Actively participate in monthly inventory counts.

Prepare designated areas for scheduled fumigation days.

Use cleaning tools and products correctly and safely.

Support other departmental or hotel-wide tasks as needed, demonstrating a proactive and helpful attitude.

Transport food from the kitchen to the appropriate areas when necessary.

Assist in setting up kitchen equipment for banquets or restaurant events.

Understand and comply with local hygiene and safety regulations established by authorities such as COFEPRIS, “H” Certification, BSA, Ministry of Labor, and Environmental Protection.

Keep all work areas clean, organized, and ready for any potential inspections.

Ensure proper and safe use of chemicals and cleaning tools.
