School-Based RN or LPN Needed! Dorchester, Massachusetts Contract Position | 32.5 Hours/Week | School Hours Amergis Healthcare Staffing is proud to partner with a well-respected school in Dorchester, MA to support nursing services for the remainder of the school year. We are currently seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide general school-based health support. There are two openings, each serving diverse student populations and requiring strong assessment skills, medication administration, and diabetes management experience. Position Overview As the school-based nurse, you will provide general nursing care to students across a broad age range, while supporting medication administration, first aid, documentation, and diabetes care (including insulin administration). These roles offer a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to make a positive impact within a busy school health office setting. Location: Dorchester, MA Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: + Opening 1: February 23 – April 3 + Opening 2: March 2 – End of School Year Schedule: Monday–Friday | 32.5 hours/week Pay Rate: Up to $55/hour (based on experience & licensure) Key Responsibilities + Provide daily nursing care and general health support + Perform medication administration and maintain accurate documentation (SNAP preferred) + Provide first aid and respond to student health needs + Manage diabetes care, including insulin administration + Collaborate with school staff, families, and administration + Support a diverse student population, including multilingual families + Follow school health policies and EEC guidelines as applicable Qualifications + Active MA RN or LPN license + Pediatric or school-based experience preferred + Experience with diabetes/insulin management required + Spanish-speaking preferred but not required + Knowledge of SNAP documentation and EEC guidelines helpful If you're passionate about supporting students in an inclusive and community-focused school environment, we’d love to hear from you!
