**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and reliable General Production Worker to join our team. This role requires maintaining cleanliness in all areas, unloading trucks, and ensuring the quality of products entering the processing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, ensuring foreign materials are removed from conveyor belts and assisting in various cleanup operations. **Responsibilities** + Ensure all areas are kept clean and equipment is cleaned according to the schedule. + Unload trucks and notify lead or management of product quality changes. + Unload holding bins to feed onions into the processing facility. + Ensure foreign material is removed from the conveyor belt prior to entering the plant. + Assist in dryer cleanups and daily cleanings. + Frequently monitor machinery to ensure it is operating properly and notify lead/supervisor if not running. + Keep tools, hoses, and other equipment hung up and stored properly when not in use. + Assist maintenance personnel as needed. + Maintain a clean and sanitary appearance of self and facility. + Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and Lock out/Tag out procedures. + Report any unsafe acts or issues to management immediately. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Production experience + General labor skills + Forklift operation + Cleanroom experience + Machine operation + Sanitation + Food processing **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic mathematical skills + Basic computer skills + Reading comprehension + Time management + Critical thinking + Good manufacturing procedures + Ability to follow instructions verbally and in writing + Ability to work independently + Ability to communicate orally and in writing + Ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and supportive team with the potential for full-time employment following a 9-month harvest season. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Boardman, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
