**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler - General Production Worker** **Job Description**
Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, responsible for assembling metal components and sub-assemblies used in power-generation equipment, including transformers and related electrical/mechanical systems. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, basic blueprint interpretation, and the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to build high-quality components according to specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble metal parts, brackets, frames, and related components used in transformer manufacturing and other power-generation assemblies.
+ Utilize hand tools and power tools such as drills, screwdrivers, impact wrenches, torque tools, and pneumatic equipment.
+ Read and follow basic blueprints or engineered drawings.
+ Identify assembly hardware and place parts in the correct relationship to each other during builds (e.g., aligning holes, spacing, orientation).
+ Perform problem-solving during assembly, determining corrective action when fasteners don’t fit, such as deburring, realigning, and verifying part orientation.
+ Inspect work for accuracy, fit, and quality to ensure conformance to mechanical specifications.
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; follow all safety protocols and required PPE standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools, especially drills.
+ Strong problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work as part of a team.
+ Ability to follow safety procedures and wear correct PPE.
+ Willingness and eagerness to learn.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in production, machine operation, and assembly.
+ Ability to follow written instructions and diagrams.
+ Skills in tape measure usage, warehouse production, paint prep, and grinding.

**Work Environment**
Work in a non-climate controlled, dusty fabrication shop environment with good ventilation for fumes. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and appropriate PPE usage.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
