Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker in the Research and Development area, where you will assist in cutting insulation and coating products with chemicals. This role is integral to the production process and requires a keen eye for detail and precision.

Responsibilities

Assist in the cutting and coating of insulation products with chemicals.Utilize hand and power tools for assembly tasks.Read and interpret measuring tapes accurately.Lift and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs.Participate in morning toolbox meetings and commence assembly processes.Construct radiant heaters and work across various areas of the shop.Collaborate with a small team of 2-3 employees.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in using hand and power tools.Ability to read measuring tape in imperial units.Attention to detail and precision in assembly tasks.Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in reading schematics or blueprints.Experience in metal fabrication, or experience with saw or drill press.Previous experience in mechanical or electrical assembly environments.

Work Environment

You will start on the day shift from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of working extra hours during the busy winter season, and occasionally on Saturdays. The contract runs until March 2025, with potential for extension or permanent placement. Work within a clean, well-organized, and transit-accessible manufacturing department that, while noisy and busy, prioritizes safety. Personal protective equipment such as gloves, masks, and face shields are required due to chemical handling.

The pay range for this position is $19.30 - $20.05/hr.
