**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker, where you will have the opportunity to fabricate all components of a timber structure. This includes working with mass timber products like glue-laminated (glulam) beams, laminated veneer lumber (LVL), nail-laminated timber, and dowel-laminated timber, as well as steel connectors, cables, and castings. You will also be involved in creating integrated structural panels with pre-installed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the shop. **Responsibilities** + Assist in the assembly of roof panels by standing boards on edge, applying plywood sheathing, and using hand tools to nail and fasten components. + Read and follow basic construction drawings or instructions. + Maintain a clean and organized workspace. + Collaborate with a small team to meet daily production goals. + Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. **Essential Skills** + Basic carpentry experience, including the use of hand tools and an understanding of working with power tools like saws, drills, and nail guns. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks. + Good attention to detail and ability to follow directions. + Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. + Punctuality and dependability with reliable transportation to the site. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1st or 2nd year carpenter experience. + Manufacturing carpentry experience. + Sawmill or wood planing machine experience. + Willingness to learn and a good attitude. + Reliability and punctuality. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a pathway to a permanent role if you demonstrate commitment and reliability. As a wood fabrication shop producing panels for various industries, candidates will work mostly indoors in a wood production facility, with less than 10% of work occurring in the yard. Tasks include straightforward work such as using nail guns, cutting wood to size, and operating sandblasters and/or sanders. The open production floor features bay doors and proper ventilation. Cross-training opportunities abound, and approximately 50 employees are on site. Required tools include a tape measure, basic tools like a hammer and speed square, and safety gear such as a hard hat and safety vest.
