**Job Title: General Production Worker**
**Job Description**
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as General Production Workers. In this role, you will assist operators in all departments, going beyond simple packing tasks. You will be crucial in supplying raw materials and moving finished products from the production line, while keeping accurate counts of the products produced. Your assignments may vary daily, and you may work in packaging, processing, or mixing as needed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work collaboratively with others to foster a team atmosphere.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
+ Comply with all GMP requirements.
+ Complete all necessary paperwork legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
+ Order and maintain sufficient quantities of packaging materials from the warehouse to ensure no interruptions in manufacturing.
+ Be fully knowledgeable of product packaging specification sheets and production schedules.
+ Return all unused packaging materials to the warehouse, ensuring they are properly secured and identified.
+ Prepare and attach skid tags and other related documentation to finished products.
+ Transport all pallets of finished goods to the warehouse.
+ Maintain correct date codes on tape machines as required by product specifications.
+ Accurately weigh and report scrap at the end of each shift.
+ Provide break relief for other General Bakery Workers as needed.
+ Offer back-up support to various departments, including scaling batches, mixing batches, and operating processing and packaging equipment.
+ Be trained to use applicable classes of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and maintain valid certification.
+ Properly submit work orders as needed.
+ Assist or oversee the training of new team members with changeovers, machine setup, and cleaning.
+ Perform simple mathematical calculations.
+ Read and record written instructions from packaging specification and formula sheets.
+ Perform SPC (computer) data entry according to established process control procedures and product specifications.
+ Conduct all necessary Quality and Food Safety testing and documentation.
+ Work independently and notify supervision of any issues.
+ Adhere to and comply with all company policies, procedures, and practices.
+ Operate the grinder and accompanying equipment safely and at expected pace.
+ Use scanners for lot numbers and understand the importance of lot tracking.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Detail-oriented
+ Mechanically inclined
+ Comfortable working around raw ingredients
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs alone and 100 lbs in a team lift
+ Comfortable working in a hot, humid, and dusty environment
+ Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
+ Ability to read and record written instructions
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in a food plant is helpful
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and production line operations
+ Experience with good manufacturing practices, general labor, assembly, forklift operation, picking, packaging, and machine operation

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
