**Job Title: General Production Worker**
**Job Description**
As a General Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in operating pallet jacks, banders, and stretch wrappers safely and efficiently. You will assist machine operators with machine setup, conduct and monitor pallet construction, and ensure quality output. Adherence to safety protocols is paramount, and collaboration with team members is essential for optimizing production processes. Maintaining a clean and organized work area and completing production logs accurately are key responsibilities. Participation in training sessions is encouraged to enhance skills and knowledge.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate pallet jacks, banders, and stretch wrappers safely and efficiently.
+ Assist machine operators with machine setup, including adjusting settings and loading materials.
+ Conduct and monitor pallet construction and packaging to ensure proper function and quality output.
+ Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
+ Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste materials.
+ Complete production logs and reports accurately and timely.
+ Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of machine operation and safety procedures.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with warehouse operations and material handling.
+ Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and forklifts, including sit-down forklifts.
+ Ability to load raw materials and monitor machine performance.
+ Skill in performing basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
+ Experience in inspecting products for quality and reporting defects.
+ Capability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
+ Coordination of material movement and tracking production schedules.
+ Strong communication skills with warehouse, shipping, and production teams.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
+ Standing and walking for extended periods.
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

**Work Environment**
Work in a non-climate-controlled production environment that is clean and organized. First shift operates from 6am-2pm Monday to Friday, and second shift from 2pm-Midnight Monday to Thursday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffolk, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
