General Production Worker

Shift: Monday-Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm

Pay: $22/hr

Location: Langley, BC

Job Description

The General Production Worker plays a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations by executing manual labor tasks, maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, and assisting with basic production duties. This position is crucial in ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Essential Skills

1-2+ years of manufacturing experience in a heavy industrial setting.Forklift experience AND certification. - If you are not certified you will not be considered for the position. Proficiency in measuring in metric and imperial using a tape measure.Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Sweep and clean production areas, common spaces, and equipment.Dispose of waste materials and recyclables appropriately.Maintain cleanliness of molds, tools, and workstations.Perform basic machine maintenance and support production processes.Follow documented quality control procedures and safety guidelines.Help with inventory handling and material stocking.Record time and material usage accurately.Assist skilled tradespeople and technicians as needed.Operate sit-down and stand-up reach forklifts.

Experience with plastic materials.Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.Reliability and punctuality.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fast-paced, go-getter type of place where good communication skills are essential. Employees work indoors in a plastics production facility with a multicultural team of about 50 members. The production floor is open, with bay doors and proper ventilation, making it unsuitable for individuals with plastic allergies. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm, and safety gear such as gloves, goggles, and hearing protection is provided.
