Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated General Production Workers for packaging labor roles available at two different sites. These positions involve critical tasks such as putting caps and lids on bottles, bottling products into boxes and cases, and sorting and separating finished products. You will be responsible for packing jugs and bottles into boxes, lifting and staging boxes, palletizing and wrapping boxes and containers, as well as placing boxes and products into sealer machinery. Quality inspections will be conducted by counting, sorting, and checking sizes, and workers will place tags and labels on products and boxes. Additional responsibilities include pulling cases off the line, stacking on pallets, wrapping and staging cases and boxes, and working on multiple lines to package products. Flexibility is key, as you may assist operators with batch mixing, janitorial work, and document all orders. This role requires working with drums and totes and involves lifting up to 55 lbs. Steel toe boots are a requirement.

1st shift pay: $17.25/hr

2nd shift pay: $18.90/hr

2nd shift - nights x4

M-F 6:00p-6:30a

ResponsibilitiesPerform packaging tasks such as placing caps and lids on bottles and bottling products into boxes and cases.Sort and separate finished products for quality control.Pack jugs and bottles into boxes and stage them for shipping.Palletize and wrap boxes and containers.Operate sealer machinery for placing boxes and products.Conduct quality inspections by counting, sorting, and checking sizes.Place tags and labels on products and boxes.Assist operators with batch mixing and perform janitorial work as needed.Document all orders and manage inventory with drums and totes.Lift and stage boxes, ensuring safe handling up to 55 lbs.Perform housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal when production lines are down.Adapt to various tasks and shift between packaging and formulation duties.Essential SkillsAbility to perform multiple jobs and work in multiple areas.Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.Manufacturing experience.Wearing steel toe boots for safety.Additional Skills & QualificationsBackground in chemical, oil, or food manufacturing is beneficial.Ability to perform repetitive motions efficiently.Why Work Here?

The Alsip facility is a modern, clean, and temperature-controlled environment, with a smaller workforce and organized inventory. The Chicago Heights facility, while older, is also temperature-controlled and accommodates a larger workforce with more production lines. Both locations prioritize safety and offer multiple break rooms for employee comfort. Chemical materials used are not harmful, and operations are consistent across both sites, with Alsip handling more customized orders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago heights , Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $18.45/hr.
