**General Production Associate – 2nd Shift** **Location:** La Porte, TX **Shift:** 2nd Shift (1:30 PM – 9:30 PM) **Pay Rate:** $19.33/hour **Employment Type:** Full-Time | Staffing Agency Placement **Job Summary** We are seeking a dependable and safety‑focused **General Production Associate** to join our client’s manufacturing team in La Porte. This position involves operating production equipment, handling materials, performing inspections, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Ideal candidates will be team‑oriented, detail‑driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment. **Key Responsibilities** **Production & Equipment Operation** + Operate assigned machinery or production equipment according to company standards and supervisor instructions. + Perform general production duties to meet daily output, safety, and quality goals. + Assist with equipment start-up, operation, and shutdown as trained. **Material Handling** + Safely load and unload raw materials and finished goods as needed. + Move product throughout the facility using approved equipment and proper lifting techniques. **Safety & Compliance** + Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). + Ensure all machine guards and safety features are functioning correctly. + Immediately report unsafe conditions or equipment issues. **Quality Control** + Conduct visual inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards. + Notify supervisors of defects, inconsistencies, or material concerns. **General Duties** + Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness within the work area. + Follow all workplace rules, procedures, and company policies. + Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. **Qualifications** + Prior manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience preferred but not required. + Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. + Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. + Ability to stand for long periods, lift required weights, and work in a fast-paced environment. + Team-oriented with a positive, reliable work ethic.
