Job Title: General Production Operator

1st: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri $19

2nd: 3pm - 1:30am Mon - Thurs $20.25

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a General Production Operator, where you will engage in various aspects of metal fabrication. You will operate a range of machinery, including punch presses, drill presses, shear presses, and more. You will also be cross-trained in multiple areas based on the company's needs. Your role will involve loading and unloading machines, monitoring their operation, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor punch presses, drill presses, shear presses, straightening presses, torches, overhead cranes, forklifts, saws, and other machinery.Load and unload machines, ensuring products move efficiently through the process.Maintain clean and organized work areas, performing housekeeping and special clean-up duties as assigned.Use hand and power tools, including grinders and impacts, for assembly tasks.Assist in the Frog Assembly Department, operating overhead/jib cranes, forklifts, and benders.Perform final switch point assembly and operate CNC drill.Pre-assemble and deburr points and rail, while assembling brackets into place on guiderails using basic hand tools.

Essential Skills

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure.Experience in general production and machine operation.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.25/hr.
