We are looking for a rolling mill operator. They will be responsible for operating machines that shape metal by passing it through rollers. Our machines are used to flatten, reduce, and correct dimensions to within our customer specifications in flat steel sheets. The operator sets up, monitors, and adjusts the rolling mill to ensure the metal meets precise specifications.
Responsibilities:Set up equipment with the correct rolls, guides, and settings.Feed metal into the mill and monitor its progress through the rollers.Adjust controls to maintain product dimensions and surface quality.Inspect finished product for defects or deviations from specifications.Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.Material handling proficiencies with cranes, hoists and forklifts (training will also be provided).Understanding of metal properties and how they react to rolling.Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience with inspection processes and using a microscope.Familiarity with general production practices and safety protocols.Why Work Here?:
