This role is ideal for a results-oriented leader with a proven background in sales growth, operational management, implementing standardization and overall team leadership. About the opportunity
We are seeking a results-driven and operationally focused General Manager to lead the national team. This role is responsible for overseeing multiple locations, driving sales and rolling out best practices. The ideal candidate will come from an NDT service-based industry, bring strong technical leadership and strategic thinking.
Key responsibilities Lead all National operations, ensuring alignment with Horizon’s strategic goals and the Hercules Group’s vision Review financial performance, sales reports, and productivity metrics to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency Develop and execute annual budgets and business plans for all branches Achieve and surpass financial and gross margin objectives Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to ensure readiness for increased demand and market expansion Optimize resource and expense management across all branches Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure supply chain efficiency Foster long-term relationships with key customers and partners Champion a culture of exceptional customer service across the organization Promote brand integrity and ensure a high-quality image of all locations Support, mentor, and coach staff to maximize performance, engagement, and career development Make data-driven decisions and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders Travel regularly. Unless you are based close to one of their offices, this will be a home-based role with an extensive travel schedule across Canada (50%+)
What the successful candidate will bring: Post secondary education in Engineering, Business, or related technical field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of leadership experience in a field service-based or technical operations role, specifically in an NDT environment 5+ years of management experience overseeing multi-branch operations across multiple provinces Proven sales leadership experience and a strong understanding of operational management P&L and budget management experience Strong knowledge of warehousing, distribution, or industrial service operations Excellent collaboration and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP/CRM experience is an asset Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed. Must successfully complete a criminal background and check Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
In return, you can expect: Base Salary ranging from $150,000 - $160,000 depending on experience.
