The Property

Are you an experienced hotel General Manager with a passion for delivering exceptional commercial performance and guest experiences. The Hilton London Paddington Hotel is seeking a highly motivated and talented Hotel General Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation and success of our property.

The Hilton London Paddington forms part of the Paddington Station complex and was originally the idea of Isambard Kingdom Brunel and was built 'to rival the facilities of the great hotels on the Continent. The hotel was purchased by its current owners in 1986, bringing it back to life. This art deco-inspired hotel re-opened its doors in 2002. There are 423 guest rooms, a fitness centre on-site, 19 meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 350 guests, Executive Lounge and three busy food and beverage outlets.

The Role

This exciting General Manager position will be responsible for managing the hotel, Hotel Management team, hotel targets to deliver excellent Guest and Team Member experience while managing profitability and meeting our Owners’ expectations.  

What will you be doing?
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

Manage and lead the hotel operations.Manage ongoing profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue, guest satisfaction and Team Member engagement goals are met and exceededLead in all key property issues including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishmentEnsure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotel  and HiltonDeliver achievable hotel budgets, and set other short- and long- term strategic goals for the propertyProvide exceptional leadership to hotel Team Members focusing on Hilton culture and valuesLead in all aspects of business planningComply with and exceed Hilton Brand Service StandardsEnsure costs are controlledManage and develop the Hotel Executive team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within HiltonHold regular briefings and communication meetings with the HOD teamRespond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved
 


What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills with a strong focus on Owner relations, Commercial and Operations, guest experience and Team Member engagement. Enthusiastic and passionate, you will have current or previous experience as a General Manager within a similar quality hotel and ideally experience of managing renovation projects.

An Established GM with experience managing full-service complex hotel operations with ideally London market experience.Resilient & organised, with a proven ability to manage refurbishment projects.A strong communicator and commercially astute, ensuring  the owners’ ROI is achieved.Creative, particularly in repositioning the hotel, and capable of transforming the business while motivating the team to maximise performance.Strong ability at building relationships and networking, able to establish influential connections with owners, contractors, corporates and be highly visible to drive the business forwardDelivering innovative commercial opportunities with experience in increasing profitability Exceptional people leadership and retention of talent with the ability to bring a team together on a journey and instilling the Hilton culture and valuesExceptional stakeholder/owner relations experienceAbility to show resilience, judgement and leadershipExperience managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results in a similar sized propertyIn-depth knowledge of the hotel/leisure/service sectorDegree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalentEnglish language mandatoryPlease note that the contract of employment will be issued directly by the hotel owners.
