About the Property
Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville at Vanderbilt is an all-suite hotel located In the Midtown area of Nashville, our spacious two-room suites are within a half mile of Vanderbilt University and the nightlife on Music Row. Vanderbilt Medical Center is less than a mile away, and downtown Nashville under a 10-minute drive.
What are we looking for?
Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years’ General Manager at an all-suite hotel or full-service hotel. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a positive team member culture. Strong commercial acumen with proven success in driving revenue. Ability to build and maintain successful ownership relationships and community partnerships. Performance driven, with strong leadership capability and proven ability to attract, motivate, lead, inspire and direct a talented team towards providing excellent guest and employee satisfaction results.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hilton brand experience. Local market experience. Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or business preferred
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing budgets and financial plans and controlling expenditure Maintaining statistical and financial records Setting and achieving sales and profit targets Recruiting, training, and monitoring staff Planning work schedules for individuals and teams Meeting and greeting customers Dealing with customer complaints and comments Addressing problems and troubleshooting Ensuring events and conferences run smoothly Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings Dealing with contractors and suppliers Ensuring security is effective Carrying out inspections of property and services Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Demonstrated ability to lead a team Excellent attention to detail Financial savvy Proficient in Microsoft Office products
