This will suit a General Manager from a B2B sales background, or Senior Sales Leader who has held P&L, devised and executed accelerated growth strategies in sectors that utilise analytical instrumentation / technical equipment, and who has effectively led national sales/services teams, including the leadership of managers.
The Opportunity

The General Manager Benelux will be based remotely in NL or Belgium, visiting the Tiel office weekly and spending 2 to 3 days each week with customers and associates. The jobholder will manage P&L and directly lead a sales & customer care group of 30 (plus dotted line indirect responsibility across 30 associates in field service engineering).
The General Manager will develop and execute transformative growth strategies and customer plans that leverage Hach’s strong business and technology foundation. The GM will input to strategic planning, provide inspirational leadership, accelerate sales growth of Hach’s solutions, deliver exceptional services to the customer-installed base, embrace lean methodology, and enhance profitability and market share.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Deliver Country Business Target Revenue, costs and profits as well as Country Working Capital
Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve accelerated growth targets while increasing customer satisfaction.
Be an active communicator throughout the organization, build strong relationships with teams, peers, Senior Management and Global stakeholders to maximize our “win as a team” spirit
Provide outstanding leadership that promotes followership, professional development and engagement through shared purpose and values
Act as the Managing Director of the local entity in Benelux
Education, Background and Skill Requirements:
Progressive commercial experience including a sales leadership background (optimally including services too) within largescale, international B2B organizations (ideally hardware / tech instrumentation / diagnostic tools etc)
Demonstrated track record of driving commercial growth with a focus on customer acquisition, market share expansion and operating margins
Seasoned leader and a ‘manager of managers’, ideally on a national scale, providing inspiration, coaching and mentorship to leaders
Has both strategic and tactical capabilities, can analyze the market, competitors and company strengths and weaknesses while designing winning commercial strategies
Strong operational and analytical mindset. Comfortable managing a complex, high-performance and KPI-driven business with a strong focus on data, reporting and continuous improvement
Superior interpersonal and communication skills (speaks fluent English and ideally also Dutch. French would be advantageous)
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or Masters preferred
