Overview

Hyatt Place RDU is seeking a highly motivated and career motivated  General Manager to help lead the a well known airport hotel property flagged by Hyatt. The GM of this 93 room hotel has the close support of Director of Operations and oversees day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining brand standards, and fostering a positive service-driven culture. This leadership role is perfect for a hands-on operator with strong communication skills, proven team development ability, and a passion for hospitality.

ResponsibilitiesOperations & Team Leadership

Overseeing Front Desk, Housekeeping, Laundry, F&B, and Engineering operations

Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and developing associates

Lead by example to reinforce RevPAR Companies’ culture and service vision

Maintain department communication, coaching, and performance accountability

Serve as Manager-On-Duty during designated shifts

Guest Experience & Brand Standards

Monitor Guest Survey HYSAT scores, Medallia feedback, and online reviews

Ensure prompt service recovery and follow-through on all guest concerns

Uphold Hyatt brand standards across all departments

Maintain a strong presence in the lobby for guest engagement and morale

Financial & Administrative Support

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning

Support labor management, scheduling, and payroll accuracy

Review daily reports, STR performance, and revenue-driving opportunities

Help manage purchasing, inventory systems, and cost controls

Safety, Security & Compliance

Ensure adherence to OSHA, fire life safety, emergency procedures, and brand compliance

Conduct routine inspections of guest areas and back-of-house spaces

Support internal audits, risk management procedures, and quality assurance

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of hotel leadership experience (GSM, AGM, Supervisor, Operations Manager, or similar)

Strong communication, decision-making, and leadership abilities

Knowledge of select-service hotel operations; Hyatt experience preferred

Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure under pressure

Strong understanding of financial reports, labor management, and service metrics

Passion for people, guest experience, and operational excellence
