Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team. As our new General Manager you will:
Hire, supervise, mentor and evaluate department leads and team members (Operations, Fitness, Group Exercise, Membership Services, Facility Attendants).
Foster and manage quality relationships with client and site members and various client ERGs and departments (medical, benefits, cafeteria, facilities).
Drive, track and report on key metrics regularly.
Provide regular budget reviews and help to control cost of goods & services, ability to demonstrate cost savings/avoidance without compromising quality.
Demonstrate management effectiveness via consistency with onsite supervision and a
strong focus on customer care, partnering touch points and swift issue resolution.
Ensure excellent customer service and customer responsiveness to both inside and outside constituents.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of General Manager Experience within the fitness industry.
Bachelor’s Degree in fitness or business-related fields.
Direct management experience - including staff and responsibility for overall programs and services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in strategic planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of diverse fitness and wellness services.
Uses a high-energy, collaborative, proactive and results-oriented approach to facility management.
Strong evidence of entrepreneurial initiative. Approaches role and associated responsibilities as if it is their own business.
Well-versed and confident on evolving trends within fitness and wellness. Thrives on piloting new approaches and learning from failure to drive improved outcomes.
Speaks and writes clearly, succinctly and professionally. Facilitates expectations and outcomes to direct reports.
Excels leading in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with key client stakeholders to enhance resources and services provided to customers.
Strong inclination towards coaching and developing others.
Open to new ideas and flexible on approaches to accomplish results.
Embraces constructive feedback as a way to improve the current state.
Comfortable analyzing and making sense of large amounts of information to identify key considerations that should be acted upon.
Works well with all levels within the organization to establish an overall collaborative working relationship.
Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $100,000/year to $175,000/year. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
