Position Overview
The General Manager will be responsible for the overall profitability of the division, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing a team of frontline supervisors, and maintaining strong client relationships. You will manage all financial aspects of the market to ensure budget goals are met, including P&L management and controlling branch expenses. You will also be a key player in the development of major accounts and will be responsible for revenue growth through both direct and indirect sales activities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on accountability with great customer service skills while ensuring a profitable business operation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of salaried managers and frontline supervisors. Manage the market's financial aspects, including P&L, budgets, and expenses. Develop and implement client service and retention plans. Oversee a dispersed business territory, managing accounts within a one to two-hour radius of Nashville. Ensure the operation is properly staffed, developed, and compliant with company systems and processes. Engage in community involvement to represent The Budd Group and enhance brand awareness.Candidate Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years of full-time experience supervising first-level managers. A minimum of six years of full-time business experience, with at least two years in business management. A proven track record of growth demonstrated by increased job responsibilities. Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage a budget and understand financial metrics like P&L. An influential manager with the ability to foster strong relationships while ensuring alignment with business goals and client agreements. Strong management skills, with the ability to delegate and empower team members. A self-starter with a "winning attitude". Education: A minimum of a four-year degree is required.
