Eldora, POWDR and The Town of Nederland: On July 8th, 2025 the Town of Nederland signed a letter of intent (LOI) with POWDR, the current owner of Eldora Mountain Resort, to purchase the iconic ski destination. This agreement marks a significant milestone for the community as it takes a bold step toward local ownership of one of Colorado’s most beloved ski resorts. This acquisition reflects the Town of Nederland’s commitment to fostering sustainable growth, enhancing recreational opportunities, and pursuing innovative economic vitality projects.
Key Details of the Acquisition
Timeline: POWDR and the Town of Nederland are actively working to close the transaction for the 2025/2026 ski season.
Transition: POWDR will enter into a transition services agreement to support Eldora for at least two years following the sale, ensuring stability and operational excellence.
Employee Transition: All current Eldora employees including the General Manager will become employees of the Town of Nederland at close, maintaining their pay and benefits with plans to enhance coverage through municipal resources. The Town is committed to preserving the strong culture and professionalism that define Eldora’s workforce.

Job Summary:
The General Manager will oversee the strategic and operational leadership for Eldora in collaboration with the Town of Nederland and POWDR to manage and establish long-range goals, capital and strategic plans, execute on operating plans and ensure the appropriate policies and procedures are implemented to support the staff and culture. This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of Eldora, including Mountain & Base Operations, Food & Beverage and Retail/Rental Outlets, Ski and Ride School, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and more.
The successful candidate must possess strong and proven strategic leadership, communication, collaboration, innovation, and organizational skills along with understanding the mechanical operations of a winter operation.
