The Civic Hall -- The Bernard Goldstein Center General Manager will act as the top on-site executive, executing organizational strategic goals while ensuring all functional departments meet service standards and budget targets.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of a dynamic, multi-use innovation and event center, ensuring seamless coordination across hospitality, education, and co-working activities
+ Ensure an exceptional guest experience that drives member satisfaction, repeat business, and revenue growth across public programs, private events, and rentals
+ Supervise and support cross-functional teams including front desk, events, sales, facilities, catering, custodial, and security staff
+ Coordinate daily with department leads to align space usage, staffing, and services across training programs, meetings, public events, and private functions
+ Monitor and respond to client and member feedback in real time, resolving issues promptly to maintain service excellence
+ Set staffing levels and operational schedules based on fluctuating space usage, event calendars, and partner requirements
+ Oversee vendor relationships, including facilities maintenance, food and beverage providers, and technology services
+ Manage budgets and financial performance to ensure efficient operations and profitability across all facility functions
You’re a great fit if you have experience in a leadership role overseeing:
+ Event space rentals, client bookings, and end-to-end programming logistics
+ Hospitality operations, including guest services, reception/front desk, and concierge support
+ Facilities coordination and vendor oversight (cleaning, maintenance, security, A/V, etc.)
+ Food and beverage partnerships and on-site catering logistics
+ Membership and co-working operations, including access, desk allocation, and community support
+ Technology systems, including A/V, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and smart space management tools
Qualifications:
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality, event management, or facility operations
+ Demonstrated ability to manage complex scheduling, overlapping programs, and diverse client needs in a fast-paced setting
+ Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
+ Budget management experience and a track record of driving operational efficiency
+ Bachelor's degree preferred
Compensation depends on experience
$100,000 - $150,000
