General Manager

Job Summary

The General Manager will lead business performance and growth, focusing on achieving revenue, profit, and cash flow targets for Rentokil Initial Trinidad. This role includes full P&L responsibility and ensures the values of Service, Relationships, Responsibility and Teamwork are upheld. The General Manager will direct the company to maintain a competitive market position and foster a motivated workforce while managing strategic direction and operational activities to meet profitability and stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

Oversee business performance and uphold the values of the Company. Expand strategic business sectors to optimize profitability and assist management in meeting Profit & Loss targets. Administer performance management for Sales & Service teams, encompassing appraisals and development initiatives. Guarantee adherence to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards. Maintain continuous oversight on the quality of daily operations. Emphasize Sales & Service through benchmarking, monitoring, and presenting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance business outcomes via customer service, efficient processing, and support functions such as Health & Safety, Administration, and Human Resources.

Strategic

Drive the execution of the Company's vision and mission by developing and implementing long-term strategic plans. Drive market share growth and consolidate profitability through strategic annual business planning. Implement a robust monthly review cycle to ensure tactical execution and deliver key performance targets.

People Accountability

Support colleagues in achieving sales/service targets and managing budgets. Drive employee retention and engagement, ensuring training and performance management align with strategic goals. Ensure high standards in health and safety and compliance with HR legislation.

Service Accountability

Implement the Rentokil-Initial service delivery model with defined protocols and KPIs. Lead operational efficiency initiatives and build customer relationships. Responsible for both strategic planning and the hands-on execution of operational goals. A dynamic leader who can seamlessly shift between high-level strategy and direct, on-the-floor management

Profit/Cost/Sales/Process Accountability

Deliver financial operating plans and improve sales and revenue growth. Set and achieve business targets in line with strategy and negotiate with trade unions effectively. Collaborate with finance for accurate budget preparation and perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements:

Essential Experience, Qualifications and Competencies

Post graduate qualifications would be an asset Bachelors Degree in Business Management or similar  At least 7-8 years’ work experience in senior managerial role supporting at the Senior Management level with progressive experience as a senior manager in a B2B environment Proven track record in a sales/service delivery environment Business and commercial acumen

Desirable Experience, Qualifications and Competencies

In-depth work experience within a pest control or washroom hygiene business would be an asset but not mandatory Pest control certification would be an asset but not mandatory Excellent people management skills with demonstrable experience in leading a large, dispersed and diverse workforce Hands-on & excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to operate strategically and operationally effectively as required. Able to demonstrate high levels of drive, work ethic and personal accountability with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining sound judgement and a rigorous focus on the details Being a good negotiator.
