Duties are performed according to regularly assigned schedules with priority given to specific areas/locations. Activities may include light maintenance, operation of equipment as needed, routine cleaning and housekeeping, grounds keeping, special maintenance and repair activities, special events, and other related work as required to maintain a pleasant, healthful, aesthetic, and secure environment. **Salary Range:** $20.51 - $25.43 per hour **Minimum Qualifications** Knowledge of: + Knowledge of different types of flooring/floor covering sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and appropriate cleaning methods, materials, agents, and equipment. + Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, bleaches, scouring agents and soaps sufficient to appropriately select the agent(s), handle and apply, and dispose of safely. + Knowledge of methods, tools, and power equipment used in maintenance sufficient to use effectively and operate safely and to make minor repairs. + Physical health and endurance sufficient to perform work functions. + Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions. + Ability to perform assigned tasks with limited work direction. + Ability to keep simple records. **Preferred Qualification** + State of Minnesota boilers license. + Forklift certification. **Other Requirements** + Ability to move and/or transport items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. + Ability to maintain an active, valid, and applicable Class D (basic) driver’s license. + Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty and contractors. + Ability to work in a variety of adverse weather conditions. + You must apply online and attach an electronic cover letter and resume to your online application in order to be considered for this position. + ​All applicants must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States at the time of employment. + ​In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check. **Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)** Tuesday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm; Saturday 7:00am - 3:30pm **Telework (Yes/No)** No **About** Minnesota West Community and Technical College is a student-centered, open-access community and technical college within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.
