Job Description

The General Maintenance Laborer provides for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment, systems, and buildings at CMI’s customer site in Artesia, NM.

Shift: Wednesday – Sunday 1pm – 10pm

Key Job Functions

Maintain Replaces light fixtures, motors, using joint compound to patch holes and cracks in walls and ceilingsRepairs or replaces sink faucets, water coolers, toilets, urinals, paints structures and equipmentRepairs or replaces stone pavers/steps, hangs doors and installs door locks, and replaces broken window cranksPerforms general maintenance on equipment and machinery as requiredChanges lights, performs drain maintenancePerforms housekeeping of mechanical spaces and roomsMoves furniture and equipmentPerform semiskilled and skilled duties in other maintenance trade areas; and do other work as assigned or required.

QualificationsMust have and maintain a valid NM driver’s licenseMust be able to climb ladders, be capable of crouching, crawling, grasping and handling objectsPick up and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.Requires practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, and electrical work.Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner and all other duties assigned.
