**General Laborer – Metal Fabrication Shop** **About the Role** Step into a fast-paced **metal fabrication shop** where raw materials are transformed into finished roofing and siding components for large buildings. As a **Bundler** , you’ll play a key role in preparing, bundling, and transporting sheet metal products that keep our production line moving. **What You’ll Do** + Operate machines to fabricate trim components. + Load sheet metal into machines and verify accuracy using a tape measure. + Inspect products for quality and troubleshoot production issues. + Assist in the **Purlin department** with lifting and preparing building frames. + Regularly handle sheet metal weighing **50–60 lbs** . + Use a banding gun to palletize orders and secure products with straps. + Bend, lift, and wrap products for safe transport. + Bundle sheet metal and prepare shipments. + Load and unload trucks as part of the production process. **What We’re Looking For** + Prior **manufacturing experience** (metal fabrication preferred). + Ability to read and use a **tape measure accurately** . + Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment. + Experience with **metal cutting, bending, and fabrication** . + Skilled in machine operation and hand tools. + Physically able to stand for long periods and perform demanding tasks. **Preferred Qualifications** + Background in **general production, assembly, or labor roles** . + Experience in **loading/unloading, construction, or packaging** . + Willingness to train entry-level candidates eager to learn. **Why Join Us?** + **Family-owned company** with a supportive, team-oriented culture. + Clear path for **growth and pay increases** + Hands-on training provided for entry-level candidates. + Be part of a company that values hard work and dedication. **Work Environment** + Busy, collaborative **metal fabrication shop** . + Facility is **not temperature controlled** — ideal for those comfortable in dynamic environments. + Moderate noise level typical of manufacturing settings. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Clinton, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
