Responsible for performing a variety of assembly operations on small to medium-sized parts, subassemblies, and completed assemblies. Work is completed using samples, written and verbal instructions, and in accordance with standard procedures. Assemblers are expected to follow safety protocols, ensure quality, and maintain a clean work area.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform assembly of small to medium-sized parts, subassemblies, and complete units using blueprints, verbal/written instructions, and standard procedures.
Operate hand tools, measuring devices, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
Accurately document production details using blueprint numbers and shop order numbers.
Ensure quality by inspecting parts, identifying defective materials, and reporting issues to supervision.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety policies.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
Properly log scrap and complete move tickets for items needing repair.
Label stock parts (e.g., flanges for boxes and covers) with permanent markers.
Notify supervisor and planner of any deviations from the pick list.
Always reference and use assembly prints when available
Operate and utilize various production equipment and systems, including:
Nameplate maker
Packing machine
Wash tank
Production report system
Pick lists, blues, and packing lists
Bin location system
DIN rail machine
Saw
Job Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English for instructions and documentation purposes.
Physical & Environmental Expectations:
Standing, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling: Constantly
Lifting/pushing/pulling 10–50 lbs: Constantly
Work environment: Warm in summer, cool in winter
Safety glasses must be worn at all times
Standard 8-hour shifts; overtime as needed
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficient with standard length measuring tools.
Capable of performing basic math operations.
Prior assembly experience (minimum 6 months) is preferred.
Strong manual dexterity and mental/visual focus required.
