Position Summary:
Accounting/ Finance Team lead for Hillenbrand Global Finance Center (GFC) is a role based out of Coimbatore. The person will be managing a team and is responsible to perform general financial activities including financial accounting, Controls, Cost accounting/budgeting, Financial planning & analysis, tax, treasury, accounts payable/receivable, and credit & collections.

Strategic Responsibilities
Serve as team leader for the designated Business unit’s (BU)/ Function/ Process at GFC and coordinate with the team members, process leads, business controllers, GFC manager, corporate accounting teams to execute the strategic plans of the organisation pertaining to the BU’s.Assist the management in determining the feasibility of implementing special projects, and developing new programs.Drive Continuous improvement.Operational Responsibilities
Manage respective accounting operations including Payables, Receivables, General Accounting, Cost & Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition to deliver timely and accurate financial reports for month, quarter and year end. Ensure compliance of internal controls, SOX, accounting policies & procedures and other statutory requirementsEnsure high quality services, meeting global stakeholder’s expectations with optimum resource utilization for maximum service quality Coordinate with team to complete statutory audits/ other audits Publish useful and validated KPIs, metrics for performance, productivity and service deliveryParticipate in streamlining processes across GFC business units and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.Collaborate with the Team to manage ongoing projectsKeep the management apprised of challenges facedPeople management
Ensure adequate backups plans for holidays, vacations, absence to ensure that there are no challenges for business continuity.Establish the performance plans for each of the team members with necessary coordination with the process leads.Guide Supervisors in establishing performance plans for their respective subordinates.Drive development initiatives for all team members. Provide necessary coaching internally or externally as required.Drive the engagement and satisfaction of all employees within the team through holding periodic meetings to discuss the status.Team:
This role will be setup in the Hillenbrand Global shared service Organization – Coimbatore, India. This role will have the opportunity to work with and learn from teams that are geographically diverse (Asia, Europe, and North America)
Basic Qualifications:
CA/CMA with minimum 5 years of experience in finance management.Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelExperience with large automated accounting systemStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills required.Who we are:
