What impact you’ll make As an Engineering Intern on the Power Conversion & Storage team, you will be an active contributor to the testing, certification and productization of our FLEXINVERTER, FLEXRESERVOIR batteries, and FLEXIQ control systems. **Job Description** **What** **you** **’ll** **do** **(Job Responsibilities)** + Collaborate with design engineers, compliance engineers, product safety engineers, and technicians regarding hardware and software design. + Audit and improve Installation, Commissioning, and Operation & Maintenance procedures for BESS products. + Review and analyze commissioning data to identify patterns, trends, or areas of concern. + Ensure that procedures align with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and company standards. + Assist with data collection, testing, and verification activities of new products and sub-systems. + Document findings, observations, and any issues encountered. + Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment. **EMPLOYMENT DATES:** + January 2026 to April 2026 (Spring) **LOCATIONS:** + Niskayuna, NY, Schenectady, NY **What** **you’ll** **bring (B** **asic** **Q** **ualification** **s)** + Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. + Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding). + Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship **What will make you stand out (Desired Qualifications)** + Strong understanding of electrical systems, power electronics, and battery technology. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + A passion for renewable energy and energy storage. + Experience with battery management systems (BMS) and energy storage control systems (ESCS). + Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, UL). + Programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB). + Previous internship experience in a related field. ​ **Benefits available to you:** Addressing the climate crisis is an urgent global priority, and at GE Vernova, we take our responsibility seriously. The pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr - $36.00/hr based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed This position is also eligible for: + **Relocation Assistance:** Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment.
