 PRIVATE MARKETS INVESTING AND LENDING GROUP

The Private Markets Investing and Lending (PMIL) group deploys the firm’s balance sheet across a full suite of structured financing and risk management solutions across the private markets ecosystems. The Private Equity Capital Call (PECC) team provides innovative fund-level financing in the form of capital call / subscription facilities collateralized by the uncalled capital of a fund’s limited partners. The team, and broader group, are an integral part of Goldman Sachs' newly established Capital Solutions Group (CSG), which consolidates the firm's capabilities in financing, origination, structuring, and risk management.

 Responsibilities And Qualifications

 Role 

 Goldman Sachs’ PECC business, established in 2012, is supported by a lean deal team, that operates in the Americas, EMEA and Asia, with team members in New York, Chicago, London, and Dallas. The team works closely with colleagues across all divisions of the firm (e.g., Global Banking & Markets, Asset Management, and more). The team is currently seeking an Analyst/Associate based in Dallas.

 

Responsibilities

Work closely with the PECC Team, and other teams within CSG, to advise and develop credit solutions within the Firm’s risk parametersDiligence private equity fund and sponsor track records, financials, PPMs, and LPAs across various strategies (e.g., buyout, real estate, infrastructure, etc.)Build and maintain borrowing base certificates and financial models/spreadsGather and analyze Limited Partner financial statements, subscription documentation, and credit data to support underwriting decisions and assess risk profilesEvaluate the credit implications of complex structured loansDraft committee memos for loan originations, modifications, and other ad-hoc transactionsPerform ongoing regulatory compliance efforts

 

 Qualifications

Strong desire to work within the private equity/fund finance industryRelevant work experience preferred (e.g., underwriting, lending, commercial banking, private banking, investment banking, investor relations, private equity, and/or credit roles)Detailed knowledge of financial accounting and/or financial analysisPeople/project management skills, and a strong attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Ability to work flexibly, as a part of multiple teams, and autonomously
