Job Title: Clerk

Job Description

This role involves interacting with truck drivers to ensure accurate pickup information, providing necessary terminal details, and managing outbound gate transactions. The clerk will operate truck scale software as required, navigate the Terminal Operating System for tasks related to truck check-in/check-out, and monitor emails for customer orders and schedule changes. The position is especially critical during inclement weather and requires extended hours during such conditions.

ResponsibilitiesInteract with truck drivers to accurately identify required pickup information and provide corresponding terminal information.Operate truck scale software based on the type of cargo being picked up.Navigate and operate the Terminal Operating System for truck check-in/check-out tasks.Monitor email account for customer orders and internal correspondence regarding daily truck schedule changes.Work independently in the absence of supervision.Provide optimal customer service at all times.Work additional weekday hours and weekends as needed.Commit to extended hours during adverse weather conditions.Essential SkillsProficiency in data entry.Strong attention to detail.Excellent customer service skills.Proficient computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work independently and efficiently.Work Environment

Standard working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with the possibility of overtime until 6 PM. This is a 4 to 6 month temporary assignment with the potential to become permanent. The role requires flexibility to work additional hours and weekends, especially during inclement weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
