Job Description

Oaks Sunshine Coast Seaforth Resort are looking for a reliable and hands-on Gardener to support the upkeep and presentation of our landscaped areas on a casual basis.

This role is essential in ensuring the gardens, grounds and outdoor areas of the property are maintained to a high standard, creating a safe, attractive and welcoming environment for guests and staff. The successful candidate will carry out routine gardening and grounds maintenance duties while working in a safe, environmentally responsible manner.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Carry out daily gardening and grounds maintenance tasks in line with property standards.Maintain lawns, garden beds, hedges, trees and outdoor landscaped areas.Operate gardening tools and equipment safely and professionally.Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned, maintained and correctly stored after use.Apply environmentally responsible gardening practices where possible.Identify and report any hazards, safety risks or maintenance issues promptly.Keep work areas always clean and tidy.Support seasonal planting, pruning, mulching and general garden improvements as required.Comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and all relevant regulations.

Shift Details (subject to change):

Casual posiitonMonday to Friday7.00am start (flexible for the right candidate) Occasional weekend or public holiday work may be required on an ad hoc basis

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience in gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance.Knowledge of safe use of gardening tools and equipment.Understanding of basic plant care, lawn maintenance and garden upkeep.A strong awareness of Workplace Health and Safety practices.The ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.A reliable work ethic with good attention to detail.Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work.A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the overall presentation of the property.Horticulture or related qualifications are highly regarded.
